NNJDC Policy 115.381 requires that when a resident’s risk screening under §115.341
indicates prior sexual victimization—whether occurring in an institutional setting or
in the community—the resident is offered a follow-up meeting with a medical or
mental health practitioner within 14 days of the screening. In the past 12 months,
100 percent of residents who disclosed prior victimization during screening were
offered a follow-up meeting with a medical or mental health practitioner as
indicated in the PAQ and through records review. Four residents that had disclosed
prior sexual victimization during their risk assessment confirmed during on-site
interviews with the auditor that they had been offered follow up services with
medical and/or mental health staff at the time of their reporting.
