received the required PREA-related training. Documentation confirmed completion of specialized medical and mental health training, in addition to general PREA training required under Standard 115.331.   During interviews, both medical and mental health staff demonstrated knowledge of key training components, including recognizing indicators of sexual abuse and sexual harassment, appropriate response protocols for juvenile victims, preservation of evidence when applicable, and mandatory reporting procedures. Staff also confirmed their understanding of the appropriate chain of communication for reporting allegations or suspicions of sexual abuse or harassment within the facility.   The PREA Coordinator confirmed that medical and mental health staff also complete the facility’s general PREA training curriculum under Standard 115.331, which includes the zero-tolerance policy, reporting requirements, and prevention and response procedures. Training records reviewed by the auditor confirmed that these requirements were met for all applicable staff. The auditor further confirmed that NNJDC medical staff do not conduct forensic medical examinations. Instead, the facility relies on Riverside Regional Medical Center to provide forensic examinations when necessary, consistent with Standard 115.321(c). This arrangement was verified through interviews with the PREA Coordinator, nurse, and mental health clinician.   Compliance Determination Based on a review of facility policies, training documentation, employee training files, and interviews with the PREA Coordinator and medical and mental health staff, the auditor determined that NNJDC provides appropriate specialized PREA training to all medical and mental health care practitioners who provide services within the facility.   Accordingly, the auditor finds that NNJDC meets the requirements of Standard 115.335, and no corrective action is required. 115.341 Obtaining information from residents   Auditor Overall Determination: Meets Standard Auditor Discussion
