The auditor reviewed the Pre-Audit Questionnaire (PAQ), applicable policies, resident
educational materials, and conducted interviews with staff and residents to assess
compliance with Standard 115.316. Newport News Juvenile Detention Center
(NNJDC) has established policies and procedures to ensure that residents with
disabilities and residents with limited English proficiency have equal access to all
aspects of the facility's efforts to prevent, detect, and respond to sexual abuse and
sexual harassment.
