securely in resident files with limited access. Only authorized intake staff, medical
and mental health staff, and facility administrators are permitted access to this
sensitive information. The auditor verified during the site review that files are stored
securely in the intake area and are not accessible to unauthorized personnel.
Staff also confirmed that sensitive information obtained during the screening
process is used solely for classification, housing, supervision, and safety planning
purposes and is not shared inappropriately with other residents or staff without a
legitimate need to know.
Compliance Determination
Based on a review of facility policies, intake screening instruments, resident files,
staff interviews, resident interviews, and observations made during the facility site
review, the auditor determined that NNJDC has implemented a comprehensive
intake and screening process that identifies residents at risk of sexual victimization
or sexually aggressive behavior and uses that information to inform housing and
supervision decisions.
Accordingly, the auditor finds that NNJDC meets the requirements of Standard
115.341, and no corrective action is required.
