The following evidence was reviewed to determine compliance with Standard
115.377:
Documents Reviewed:
· NNJDC Pre-Audit Questionnaire
· NNJDC Policy 115.377, PREA Corrective Action for Contractors and
Volunteers
Interviews Conducted:
· PREA Coordinator

NNJDC Policy 115.377 states that any contractor or volunteer who engages in sexual
abuse will be permanently prohibited from contact with residents and referred to
law enforcement unless the conduct is clearly non-criminal, as well as to relevant
licensing bodies where applicable. The PREA Coordinator confirmed that no
contractors or volunteers were reported to law enforcement for sexual abuse of
residents during the 12 months preceding the audit period.
The policy further requires the facility to take appropriate remedial measures in
response to any other violation of sexual abuse or sexual harassment policies by
contractors or volunteers, including consideration of restricting future access to
residents. The Director confirmed that any contractor or volunteer found to have
violated NNJDC sexual abuse or sexual harassment policies would be prohibited
from facility access.
