overseeing the facility's PREA compliance efforts. During her interview, the PREA Coordinator demonstrated a thorough understanding of the PREA Standards and stated that she has sufficient time, authority, and organizational support to develop, coordinate, and oversee the facility's PREA program. Throughout the on-site audit, the auditor observed that the PREA Coordinator is knowledgeable, actively engaged in PREA compliance activities, and well respected by staff, residents, and community partners.   The PREA Coordinator described her responsibilities as ensuring staff receive required PREA training, monitoring staff and resident interactions, reviewing incident reports, maintaining PREA-related documentation, conducting facility training, monitoring compliance efforts, and coordinating the facility's overall implementation of the PREA Standards. A review of training certifications and other supporting documentation confirmed that she possesses the knowledge and qualifications necessary to effectively fulfill these responsibilities.   The Director affirmed that protecting residents from sexual abuse and maintaining compliance with the PREA Standards are organizational priorities. He further stated that the PREA Coordinator has his full support and is authorized to devote the time and resources necessary to ensure continued compliance with PREA requirements.   Because NNJDC operates a single juvenile detention facility, the designation of a PREA Compliance Manager is not required. Therefore, provision 115.311(c) is not applicable.   Compliance Determination Based on a review of applicable policies and supporting documentation, observations made during the on-site audit, and interviews with the Director, PREA Coordinator, staff, and residents, the auditor determined that NNJDC has established and implemented a comprehensive zero-tolerance policy and has designated a PREA Coordinator with sufficient authority and resources to oversee the facility's PREA compliance efforts. Accordingly, the auditor finds that NNJDC meets the requirements of Standard 115.311, and no corrective action is required. 115.312 Contracting with other entities for the confinement of residents   Auditor Overall Determination: Meets Standard Auditor Discussion
