Newport News Police Department 2024 Annual Report
Crime Line
Crime Line encourages the community to assist NNPD in the fight against crime by overcoming the fear
that may inhibit someone from coming forward with information about a crime. There are two ways to
submit an anonymous tip to Crime Line: Call 1-888-LOCK-U-UP (1-888-562-5887) or online at p3tips.com.
Crime Line is a nonprofit agency, separate from NNPD and organized by a volunteer board.
In 2024, the Public Information Office recorded and televised Crime Line videos in conjunction with
Newport News TV. These videos are posted on all NNPD social media channels to attract tips for unsolved
crimes. All Crime Line rewards are paid from private donations and fundraisers.
