The Contemporary Arts Network (CAN) and
Foundation is located in Rivermont and
the community has expressed support for
establishing an arts district, which could provide
tax rebates and other incentives for local artists.
An arts district overlay could help accentuate
the Mid-century Modern elements and unify the
eclectic architectural character of the Rivermont
area.
In general, redevelopment in this sector would
improve the Warwick Boulevard corridor by
emphasizing attractive building façades and Hilton Village streetscape elements that could be
signage, consolidating and moving parking to expanded along the Warwick Boulevard corridor
the rear, enhancing walkability with streetscape
improvements, and implementing unifying
design guidelines. Expanding neighborhood
pedestrian connectivity to commercial areas,
community facilities and Huntington Park would
promote greater vitality throughout the sector.
