The large footprint of this site offers a number
of options from re-utilization of the existing
building to its removal and construction of a
variety of spaces. The community has expressed
a need for additional recreational facilities for
all ages, but especially for teenagers and young
adults. An indoor-outdoor adventure park and
green space with site amenities such as art
plazas, shaded gathering and seating areas,
interactive or kinetic sculptures, water features,
food trucks, etc. are envisioned. Vacant Lidl grocery store
years, the only new construction has been the
7-Eleven located at 11060 Warwick Boulevard,
adjacent to Lidl. With better pedestrian
connectivity and attractive streetscapes, the
Warwick Boulevard corridor in this sector could
become a hub of new commercial activity.
