Information Gathering Session
On January 15, 2026, the Family Investment Center held the “We Want to Hear from
You’ workshop, a resident-centered, low-pressure session designed to build personal
connections and gather honest feedback about the services residents truly need. By
removing participation barriers and offering incentives, residents felt comfortable sharing
their experiences and priorities.
A total of five (5) residents attended, three (3) from Marshall and two (2) from Aqueduct. The
discussion-based format allowed staff to identify real needs and barriers, strengthen trust,
and gather valuable insights to improve service delivery.
Clear Vision, Creative Hands Workshop
On January 21, 2026, the “Clear Vision, Creative Hands” workshop was held at Marshall
Courts Recreation Center and Pinecroft Apartments for our seniors. There was a total of 16
residents in attendance. The event aimed to promote essential eye care awareness through
a blend of education and creative engagement.
Speakers from InnovAge and PACE shared valuable insights into eye health, emphasizing
the importance of preventive care and available resources tailored to senior communities.
Their presentations were informative and sparked thoughtful conversations among
participants.
To complement the educational component, residents took part in a themed coloring contest
titled “See the Future: Essential Eye Care for Our Senior Communities.” Each participant
colored a “Helping Hooves’ illustration, merging artistic expression with the event's health-
focused message. A winner was selected from each location, celebrating creativity and
enthusiasm.
The event successfully fostered community engagement, strengthened awareness of eye
health, and reinforced partnerships with InnovAge and PACE. Refreshments were provided,
contributing to a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for all attendees.
