2. Ordinance Authorizing Conditional Use Permit No. CU-2025-0008 to the Ivy
Baptist Church Trustees for an Electronic Display Sign at 50 Maple Avenue
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NUMBER CU-2025-0008
FOR THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED PROPERTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF ALLOWING
THE INSTALLATION OF AN ELECTRONIC DISPLAY SIGN FOR A COMMUNITY
FACILITY IN A RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT.
The proposed electronic sign will replace the internally illuminated reader
board at the same location, retaining the existing brick base. The sign is located
adjacent to the sidewalk along Maple Avenue and is oriented perpendicular to
the street. The proposed sign will maintain the overall height of 7.5 feet of the
existing structure and replace the reader board with a 19.9 square foot
electronic sign. The proposed sign meets all the regulatory requirements of the
sign ordinance.
The electronic display sign in conjunction with a community facility is consistent
with the One City, One Future 2040 Comprehensive Plan land use map
designation.
The City Manager recommends approval.
