Ms. Shaw made an announcement recognizing Board Chairman Mr. Thaddeus
Holloman for his recent appointment to the State Council of Higher Education for
Virginia, a gubernatorial appointment, and the Board extended its congratulations and
Other Business
appreciation for his achievement. Mr. Holloman thanked the Board and noted that the
Council meets every other month, typically on the third Tuesday, and may require his
attendance at meetings held at various colleges across the state. As a result, he
advised that he may be absent from some Board meetings, during which time Mr.
Bell will preside. The Board acknowledged this update and again offered
