Services Bureau—Sheriff’s Workforce
The Sheriff’s Workforce is comprised of deputy sheriffs who oversee and work
alongside inmates who have been vetted to work in the community. Crews stay
busy all year putting up tents for city events, mowing and edging city streets and
right-of-ways, moving furniture and boxes of documents to city storage sites, and
coordinating with the city’s 311 center to respond to citizen complaints.
The Workforce
saved the city more than
$1 million in 2024.
