SUBJECT: Resolution of the NNRHA Board of Commissioners approving the
Adoption of the Funding Agreement to Support the Development of the
Choice Neighborhood V Project
The City of Newport News is providing funding to NNRHA for the redevelopment of the
Choice Neighborhood V Project. The funding, in total amount not to exceed
$5,304,365.00 will support site development costs, design and amenities and
development of commercial space onsite as listed below:
Site Development Costs- $4,153,365.00
Design and Amenities- 590,000.00
Commercial Space- 561,000.00
The site activities will be completed by Harkins Builders through a construction contract
administered by NNRHA鈥檚 CNI developer, Pennrose.
NNRHA is seeking your approval of the funding agreement with the City, subject to legal
counsel approval. This action will allow the Executive Director to execute the agreement
with the City of Newport News.
