Let’s Talk Lipstick “Hearing the Voice of Community” Building a Strong Community The "Building a Strong Community" event was held on July 25, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM. The event brought together residents, youth, families, community partners, local businesses, and service providers to promote community engagement, access to resources, and resident self-sufficiency. The goal was to increase awareness of programs supporting education, employment, health and wellness, financial stability, and family engagement. The event featured educational workshops, employment resources, community resource booths, youth activities, games, giveaways, and food vendors. Residents and families connected with local organizations learned about available services, and explored opportunities for workforce development, supportive services, and community involvement in a welcoming and family-friendly environment. Approximately 30 to 40 residents attended the event, along with several community partners and vendors. The event strengthened community connections, increased awareness of local resources, generated new referrals and program interest, and reinforced ongoing partnerships that support resident success and improve the overall well-being of the community.
