In Re: Public Defender and Court Appointed Attorney Fees
ORDER
THIS DAY, came the Clerk of the Circuit Court of the City of Newport
News and moved this Court for an entry of an order allowing the Clerk to impose
the Court appointed attorney fees pursuant to the Code of Virginla in absence of
a timesheet presented to this Court by the Public Defender, Court Appointed
Attorney, or any of their assistants for their services before this Court.
It is hereby ORDERED that the Clerk of this Court be authorized to
impose the appropriate Court Appointed Attorney fees pursuant to the Code of
Virginia in any case handled by the Public Defender, any Court Appointed
Attorney, or any of their assistants In the event that no time sheet is filed
contemporaneously by the Public Defender, Court Appointed Attorney of Record,
or their assistants, at the time of the sentencing in a matter pursuant to any
Appropriations Act of the General Assembly and any schedules published as a
result of said legislation.
