This office is in receipt of your request for records made in accordance with the Virginia Freedom
of Information Act (§ 2.2-3700 et seq.) dated Tuesday, September 1, 2026. You have requested
records relating to or concerning the designation and listing of FOIA officers for the Newport
News School Board and Newport News Public Schools from January 1, 2024 through December
31, 2025. This office is in receipt of your request for records made in accordance with the
Virginia Freedom of Information Act (§ 2.2-3700 et seq.) dated Tuesday, September 1, 2026. You
have requested records relating to or concerning the designation and listing of FOIA officers for
the Newport News School Board and Newport News Public Schools from January 1, 2024
through December 31, 2025. You specifically requested:
Every FOIA-officer registration, submission form, update, correction, removal request,
email, letter, or confirmation concerning Newport News Public Schools or the Newport
News School Board during the requested period,
Records showing the dates on which Michelle Morgan Price was added to, updated in,
or removed from the Council’s FOIA-officer list,
Records identifying any acting, interim, additional, or replacement FOIA officer
submitted for the School Board or NNPS after February 14, 2025.
Records showing the date on which Robert C. White was first submitted, entered, or
displayed as the FOIA officer for the School Board or NNPS.
Any existing historical database export, audit history, archived officer-list entry, or
change log showing which individual or individuals were listed for the School Board or
NNPS on April 4, 2025.
This office has one (1) record in response to your request. The Council acknowledges that you
requested the response, "provide the records electronically and in their existing format," please be
advised that a portion of the records you have requested are exempt from disclosure under §
2.2-3705.1(1) of the Virginia Freedom of Information Acct, as it includes information which is
