This team would be responsible for assessment of threats made to the school
division from non-student entities, such as groups, other individuals, and staff.
This divisionwide team will assess and intervene consistent with the model
policies developed by the Virginia Center for School and Campus Safety
including procedures for referrals to community services and law
enforcement when appropriate.
Threat assessments conducted on potential threats posed by Newport News
Public School faculty and staff would become a part of the employee鈥檚
personnel file, and if founded would merit action up to and including
termination.
